Order the transfer chairSix, eight, ten transfers a day. Bed to commode, commode to chair, chair back to bed. Each one is a dead lift at an awkward angle, usually in a doorway or beside a bath, usually alone.
Most people manage until their back goes. Then two people need care instead of one.
This chair takes the weight so you don't. You position it, they sit, the motor lifts, you roll them where they need to be.
It replaces the commode, the shower chair, the transfer board and the indoor wheelchair — which matters when a small flat has nowhere to store four separate things.
Under a minute once you've done it a few times.
The enclosing seat folds open a full 180°, so you bring the chair to them rather than dragging them to it. Level it with the bed or the sofa, then close and fasten it around them.
One button — up, stop, down. The electric ram raises the seat through 13 inches of travel, so you're lifting from bed height to standing-transfer height without touching them.
Four swivel castors, two with locks. Through the bedroom door, up to the toilet, under the dining table — the frame clears most standard furniture.
You're trusting this with a person, so it's worth knowing what's holding them up.
Both sides of the seat fasten independently. Nothing tilts or slides open mid-transfer.
Step-down brakes on the rear wheels. Lock them before anyone sits down or stands up.
Welded tube throughout, rated to 220 lb. The wide splayed base is what stops it tipping when the seat is raised.
Rated for splashing water from any direction, so it can go into a wet shower room. It is not rated for submersion or a direct spray from a hose.
The seat isn't just for the thirty seconds of a transfer — people sit in it to eat, to watch television, to wait. PU cushion on the seat, padded rubber backrest, and armrests that fold out of the way.

Worth being straight about this before you spend $1,199. It suits some households and genuinely doesn't suit others.
If you're unsure, an occupational therapist or district nurse can tell you in one visit which type of equipment suits the person you're caring for. It's worth the call before ordering.
Free worldwide shipping, 30 days to return it, 12-month warranty on the motor and frame.
Thank you. A receipt is on its way to your email, and we'll send tracking as soon as your chair is dispatched.

Yes — that's the point of it. The motor does the lifting, so you're positioning and steering rather than taking their weight. Practise a few transfers with someone else present before you do it alone.
Don't use it. 220 lb is the rated limit for the frame and the electric ram, and going over it risks the lift failing under load. You'd want a higher-rated patient hoist instead.
It arrives in main sections — base, gantry, seat frames, push rod — and bolts together with the two spanners included. Most people take 30 to 45 minutes. Two pairs of hands makes it easier, since the assembled chair is 62 lb.
Yes. It's IPX44 rated, which covers splashing water from any direction. Don't aim a shower head directly at the motor housing, and dry the frame afterwards.
The chair is 20.9 inches wide, so it clears most standard interior doors. Measure your narrowest doorway and your bathroom turning space before ordering — that's the usual reason one gets sent back.
The lift runs off the mains adapter, so plan transfers around that. Keep a manual method available for emergencies.
Orders are dispatched within 48 hours. Delivery is typically 7–14 days with tracking, and shipping is free.
Return it within 30 days for a refund. Keep the original packaging until you're sure — it's a bulky item and it needs to travel back safely.
